Tradesource Member Profile: Nancy D. Breiman, Arbonne Consultant

Nancy D. Breiman, a Tradesource member for almost one year, is an independent Consultant with Arbonne. She has been involved with Arbonne since 2006 when she became a loyal and by her own words, an avid user, of their “fantastic Re9 Anti-aging skin products.” She realized the how wonderful the products were and began to “Arbonnize” her home with the body care and nutritional products. “I was telling all my friends about these great products. So, I decided to capitalize on this and start my own Arbonne business. I couldn’t keep the important health information to myself; the more I learned, the more I wanted to share with everyone I knew.”

Building a successful business became a by-product of her passion. “What could be better than sharing great information, products and making money at the same time?”

Prior to getting involved with Arbonne, Nancy had had a successful career with IBM. When asked how she feels about sales and the whole selling process, Nancy wrote in our email interview, “When you are passionate about something it doesn’t feel like sales. I consider myself an educator, informing others of the health risks in our environment and how they can take charge of their own health using the pure, safe and beneficial products from Arbonne. I also teach others to do what I do; duplication is the key to this business. Many people each doing a small amount of work all adds up.”

Arbonne wasn’t the first business Nancy had tried. “Honestly I have tried Network Marketing several times before and was skeptical before launching my Arbonne business. In each of my three prior attempts over the years I learned what makes a network marketing business successful.” According to Nancy, there are key ingredients to look for before jumping into a new endeavor. “Many network marketing companies claim to be network marketing but in reality they are direct sales, so each month you are looking for new customers and going it alone. Other network marketing companies focus on building the network and the downline but have a limited product line. They often promise large payouts in the beginning but it is hard to sustain,” she explained. “Arbonne is the best of both worlds…we have a catalog of over 450

products, all botanically based, toxin free and vegan certified.”

One of the major selling points for Nancy when it came to Arbonne was, “the culture and the integrity of the company. Arbonne has been in business for over 30 years, has talented, dedicated and strong corporate leadership, undeniably the best research and development in the world, based in Switzerland and over a million like minded independent consultants all willing to share and help each other.”

It is the “willing to share” that Nancy says is crucial to pursuing an entrepreneurial enterprise. “Owning your own business can be daunting. As a small business owner you wear many hats. Prior to moving to Phoenix my husband owned a dry cleaners. I watched him balance being the CEO, CFO, marketing, sales and operations manager….always worrying about the payroll and other issues.” A benefit of joining a company with a solid network such as Arbonne offers, she said is that the company does all of the “back office” work. “They develop the products, create the marketing, handle distribution and payroll, leaving you to focus on bringing the great benefits to the market.

Her advice to others looking to go into business for themselves is to do your homework. “Understand the company strategy, the markets they serve, the products they offer, how you get paid and the history of the company and its leaders.”

In addition to her own drive and passion for the company, Nancy explains that, “Since joining Tradesource I have met so many wonderful business owners. I find the members of Tradesource to have outstanding products and services and just about everything you need. I’ve been able to introduce many more people to the health benefits of using Arbonne and I’ve found some wonderful new people I can buy from. It’s always a win-win when you work with Tradesource.”
