Submarinos Restaurant, located in Glendale, AZ, serves homemade, New York style Italian food at reasonable prices. Located in a strip mall at 51st Avenue & Northern, Owners Tasha & Al Wiesing have had their share of challenges including long-term road construction in front of their business.
In December 2010 Submarinos Restaurant was highlighted in the Glendale Star as a Local business crawling back from storm drain construction. The real news is that construction is still in progress and Submarinos would love to see Tradesource, Inc. members come in and support their business.
Submarinos Restaurant was opened shortly after Al & Tasha’s relocation from New Jersey to Arizona 15 years ago. Tasha commented, “Al has been in this restaurant business his whole life.” This helps explain the delicious, mouthwatering food they serve!
Being a family owned and operated restaurant has its challenges and its benefits. “When we have a family function we have to close the business early or all day. Benefits and what sets us apart are the personal service we can offer to our customers, the homemade food and that we are not a chain,” Tasha stated.
What also sets them apart are the nightly dinner specials, clip less coupons and catering for business meetings and special events. The dinner special includes a different dinner special every night that includes an entrée, salad, garlic bread and a small drink for $7 plus tax.
As members of Tradesource, Inc. Tasha and Al hope to increase customer traffic. On their trade wish list are printing menus, house cleaning, painting and pool service.
